Replacing a Receiver

Replacing a receiver requires pairing your thermostat (and any sensors) with the new receiver, then registering it to your account. Your previous receiver will remain on your account and can be hidden or renamed if no longer required.

Replacing a receiver requires a few steps to reconnect your heating system and register the new receiver to your account. This is a manual process and must be done at the property. It cannot be done automatically or remotely.


Before You Start

When you replace a receiver:

  • All of these steps will need to be done at the property.

  • Your existing receiver will remain on your account and will appear as Disconnected.

  • If required, you can rename or hide the old receiver from Settings.

  • Your Thermostat (and any Smart Sensors, if applicable) must be paired with the new receiver.

  • The new receiver must then be registered to your account as though it were a new device.

Pairing Your Thermostat

Ignite Receiver (RM1) → Thermostat

  1. Press the middle Pairing button on the Relay Module.

  2. All three LEDs will begin flashing green.

  3. Press the CH button to place the central heating channel into pairing mode. The CH LED will begin flashing.

  4. On the Room Thermostat, press and hold CH MODE and ADV HW until C1 is displayed.

  5. Once paired:

    • The flashing CH light on the receiver will turn solid green.

    • The thermostat will display the wireless signal strength.

Ignite Receiver (RM2) → Thermostat

  1. Press and hold both buttons on the receiver until the 1 and WiFi LEDs flash slowly.

  2. Press the left button until CH is flashing.

  3. Press the right button to enter CH pairing mode. The CH LED will flash rapidly.

  4. On the Room Thermostat, press and hold CH MODE and ADV HW until C1 is displayed.

  5. Once paired:

    • The CH light will turn solid green.

    • The thermostat will display the wireless signal strength.

Ignite Touch

  1. Press and hold both buttons on the receiver until the 1 and WiFi LEDs flash slowly.

  2. Press the left button until CH is flashing.

  3. Press the right button. The CH LED will flash rapidly.

  4. On the Ignite Touch thermostat:

    • Press and hold the Up and Down arrows for 5 seconds until C1 is displayed.

    • If the thermostat is in Boost Only Mode and the arrow keys are not visible, press and hold the temperature for 10 seconds first, then repeat the pairing step.

Ignite LITE

  1. Press and hold both buttons on the receiver until the 1 and WiFi LEDs flash slowly.

  2. Press the left button until CH is flashing.

  3. Press the right button. The CH LED will flash rapidly.

  4. Ensure the Inspire leaf logo is at the top of the sensor.

  5. Press and hold the ▼ button on the sensor for 5 seconds.

  6. All five LEDs will slowly flash to indicate the sensor is in pairing mode.

Register the New Receiver

Once your thermostat has successfully paired with the new receiver:

  1. Open the Inspire Home Automation app and ensure you are logged in.

  2. Navigate to User → Register Thermostat.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to register the new receiver to your account.

Once registration is complete, your new receiver will be available for normal operation.

Note: Your previous receiver will remain on your account unless you choose to hide or rename it.
