When Pairing is Required
Pairing your NS1001 thermostat with the Internet Gateway is very rarely required and should only be performed as a last resort.
If your units do not connect after installation, first allow at least 10 minutes for the system to establish communication automatically.
In most cases where devices fail to connect, the cause is radio signal strength or positioning rather than pairing. Please review the Radio Signal Strength section of the help centre before attempting pairing.
How to Pair the Thermostat to the Internet Gateway
Follow the steps below to manually pair the thermostat with the Gateway.
1. Start Pairing Mode on the Gateway
Press the pairing button on the back of the Gateway.
The RF light will begin flashing amber, indicating the Gateway is ready to pair.
2. Start Pairing on the Thermostat
On the thermostat:
Press and hold the M and S buttons together for 5 seconds.
The RF symbol in the bottom-left corner of the display will begin flashing.
3. Confirm Successful Pairing
Once pairing is complete:
The RF symbol on the thermostat will become solid
The RF light on the Gateway will turn green
This indicates the thermostat and Gateway are now successfully connected.
If Pairing Fails
If pairing does not complete successfully:
Wait 10 minutes to see if the units connect automatically.
Check the Radio Signal Strength guidance in the help centre.
Ensure the Gateway is positioned correctly and not obstructed.
Most connection problems are caused by radio range or building materials blocking the signal.
