If your thermostat display is blank, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue.

1. Check Power Saving Mode

The thermostat may be in power saving mode, which turns the screen off.

Press any button on the thermostat.
If the screen turns on, the thermostat is working normally.

2. Check the Batteries

A blank screen is most commonly caused by flat or incorrectly installed batteries.

  1. Unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the thermostat.

  2. Carefully remove the thermostat from the wall plate.

  3. Look at the back of the thermostat where the batteries are installed.

  4. Replace the batteries with two AA alkaline batteries.

3. Check Battery Orientation

Ensure the batteries are installed correctly.

  • The positive (+) ends should point upwards.

4. Check for Battery Corrosion

If the thermostat has been unused for some time, the battery terminals may have corrosion.

  • Inspect the battery contacts.

  • If corrosion is present, gently clean the terminals using IPA (isopropyl alcohol).

5. Still No Display?

If the screen remains blank after trying the steps above, the thermostat may require replacement or an upgrade.

Please contact Inspire Support to discuss upgrade options.
